This is NOT your childhood RISK game, this is RISK II! The same simple concepts, easy to learn and play, but a whole new strategy and gameplay. No longer will you sit idly by, waiting for your turn, and watch someone else dump 50 troops on a single territory run all over the board. In fact, the game isn't even turn based - everyone plays simultaneously and play in game rounds.
Like the Napolean era warfare that RISK is meant to represent, you will be making your decisions for your next action at the same time that everyone else is, without knowing what they are deciding. The fog of war has arrived. Additional changes include that there are 6 more territories, new connections between continents, restricted reinforecment placement, weighted dice based on army size, attacks converging from multiple territories, interesting battle resolutions, etc.
The game rounds are: Diplomacy, Reinforcement, Battle, Tacticle Move, and Status. In the Reinforcement, Battle, and Tacticle Move phases, you will secretly issue your orders (you are still the supreme leader of your little army men). The orders are all then carried out, battles are resolved, and spoils of war awarded - with everyone engaged simulataneously (until your eliminated that is...).
