I have THOUGHT of you very often . . . good intentions?!
Sept. 11th there'll be a memorial service at the Missouri Theatre for 9/11 and its fallout, at 7:00 p.m.
Tom and I could come for the meal, then leave, though I think that's kind of tacky. Tom is about 50% raw, I'd say, same with me. We just really haven't honed in on 4-5 recipes we can really live with, so we still tend to eat the ingredients rather than make the whole greater than the sum of its parts :O)
I hope you and your husband are doing well and enjoying . . . well, will be enjoying the coming cooler weather ;O) Have you been bicycling a lot?
ALSO. I haven't given up on the idea of doing SOMETHING at the State Hospital. Just feels like there's a chasm between wanting to and figuring out a good fit. I wonder sometimes if folks who get paid for doing, say, music therapy, might not appreciate a volunteer coming in. Not to disparage anyone, I've just had that experience before.
I've thought about contacting hospitals and nursing homes that care for large populations of Alzheimer's patients. A friend of mine used to do music therapy with that particular population, and she said they all loved it. I guess it's always a question of where one puts one's time and effort to be the most effective, for lack of the right word :O)
Anyway! I will hope to see you on the 11th, if only to eat and run!
Thank you, Jane,
