Introduction
Hi! I set this up after attending countless groups for adult writing and getting limited feedback for my young adult/children's writing. I KNOW I'm not the only YA/kids' writer out there, so I figured why not start my own group? :-D
What genre do you write? This is primarily a group for adults writing young adult or children's genres, so will you be able to contribute to this?
I typically write fantasy & sci-fi for the 8 to 12-year-old audience.
What length pieces do you write? Short stories, novels, poems, etc?
I have one novel completed (working on revisions) and have another series on the drawing board. I also write shorts when the mood strikes me.
Have you been published? If not, how serious are you about getting published?
Not yet, but that's my goal!
Have you ever been part of a critique group before? If so, how was your experience?
This is my fourth critique group. I still attend all the others, I just find that I need weekly (or more) meetings to keep up with my writing.
Why do you write?
It's the only way to quiet the voices in my head :-D

Hi Jennifer, I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed the group on Wednesday. I hope I wasn't overly assertive in commenting on your piece. My overall impression was of powerful writing. The story became clear to me during the discussion. The presentation on marketing looked great. I had to go and care for the dogs, though. I didn't know what to expect, time-wise, so I planned for two hours. What is the normal time frame, or does it flex with whatever is going on??? Best, Karen

Hello again....I think I found all the right buttons. Looks like there is a wait list at this point. When I signed up two days ago there were two spots left. I presumed I filled one of them, but maybe not. So I should sit this one out? Does a notification post if a spot becomes vacant? Thank you, Karen
