MFA f/ Washington University in St. Louis in '95. Kinda lost touch with the writing friends I made there and probably could use some writers to check out my stories.
Realism. In my stories one usually finds choices, conflict, consequences--which is a line that either Carver or Chehkov used to describe their work. Presently teach high school English in Baltimore City.
Short stories.
Had a story published in the Arkansas Quarterly / Kansas Rev and won the Baltimore City Paper's 1999 short fiction contest. Some other close calls. Just started sending stuff out again after a ten year hiatus--not from writing but from sending out.
Yes, workshop in grad school. It was for the most part great. I learned a lot from some of my peers--a couple of whom were / are great writers and amazingly perceptive readers.
I have no clue why stories are still coming to me, but they are.
