Introduction

I am a stay-at-home mom and an aspiring author. Other than writing, my other interests include sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, and of course, reading. I'm a contributor at the blog Novel Novice.

What genre do you write? This is primarily a group for adults writing young adult or children's genres, so will you be able to contribute to this?

My genre is Young Adult, specifically realistic, contemporary, and romance. I think it might be fun to write for younger children as well, but for now my focus is older teens.

What length pieces do you write? Short stories, novels, poems, etc?

As of now, I've only completed short stories (fan fiction), but my goal is to write novels.

Have you been published? If not, how serious are you about getting published?

I am not published. My goal is to have at least one polished manuscript querying for publication by March 2016.

Have you ever been part of a critique group before? If so, how was your experience?

No I've never been a member of a critique group.

Why do you write?

The characters in my head are as real to me as any person. They want their stories told.
