Panoramas and shooting requirements

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • There is not that much to shooting panoramas or how to hold and shot pictures for it, but I will be happy to share what I know. I have a laptop if someone can provide a screen, projector and meeting place. I think perhaps Tuesday is generally a less busy night, if that is OK with you all. Perhaps around March 13th or 20th if there is interests or if this is enoughth time to plan and organize. I can host a small group at my office if I can get you in our building that can host maybe 20 people. I will check on that. Lets see how many are interested first. For a small sample of an panorama please look here. http://www.powersofte...

I will be happy to demonstrate how to create and edit the images, but all I need is a place to hold the meeting. I have a laptop, camera and a stockpile of images to show how easy this procedure is.
You can see one of those panoramas on sciway.com

    Near the bottom.
I also made several panoramas of my trip to Sheldon Church.

If we can set a date and time down I can see if the Conference Room in Wil Lou Gray in Columbia College (the bldg where my office is) is free. We have a huge flat screen tv/dvd/vhs/computer set up. No internet yet in that building but we wont need it.

So set the date and time and I can see if it is fee. It seats about 20 people. 1301 Columbia College DR. Columbia sc 29203

Good grounds for shooting too. Lots of trees and pretty buildings. Close to evening on a weekend? Ill bring my PC and a mobile wifi (my phone) just in case.

Here's a copy of one of my favorites from James Island County Park last summer. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/602681_595817353765346_1022235498_n.jpg

You don't need any of those things to make a great panorama, the point was to learn how to do it. I will be happy to demonstrate how to setup cameras, download images and stitch them together in a classroom environment. Learn to take the shots is nothing, but learning how to stitch them is the "tough" part. It is actually very simple, with the right software, the point of my initial post.

If you all like I will be happy to discus and demonstrate how to do this at the next meeting if you all approve that idea. I have a laptop and camera and need only a projector and screen.

Blue Ridge is a bit away is it not? Several hours drive. I would need to carpool as my car's engine wouldn't make it out of town. I have never been to the Dam.

The Dam at Lake Murray or anywhere on the Blue Ridge Parkway would work
