Important information on changes in our Columbia Sip and Knit

Some may know that I have been unhappy with our Wednesday night group's recent split. And truth be told I miss if you'll pardon the expression the "old girls"and guy, and so I think I've come up with a pretty good compromise. Beginning this Wednesday night and all future Wednesday nights except the first one of every month, more about that later, beginning this Wednesday the Reunited Columbia Sip and Knit will begin meeting at our brand new Weggman's.I spoke to one of the many managers there today and they said please come and have generously offered the tables and chairs on the upper level for our use. The only caveat is that we cannot hold exclusive meetings, board meetings or closed meetings. The prepared food section is open til 9 and I am sure there is something to suit everyone's taste. We can stay til closing which is 11 so those night owls can stay and knit into the wee hours. I will change all the details onthe meet up site.

Now comes the exception...Jason's has been so hospitable to us and some like it there, so on the first Wednesday of every month, we will have a Columbia Sip and Knit there. Here's my hope...I am thinking how great it would be if leadership appears in that Jason once a month meetnup and we can add another site to our quickly expanding group. The Tuesday group as well as the Saturday group is so nicely established and each offers a different feel and maybe, just maybe that will happen on Wednesdays.

Thankfully not everyone is like me and loves the roar of a crowd, so I say let's give this a try.

If you want to knit with the Columbia Sip and Knit on Wednesday nights, you will find us every Wednesday, except the first Wednesday of every month at Weggman's. The first Wednesday we will officially meet at Jason's.

Please knit and be happy wherever you choose.
Sorry about the old girls reference, but I do miss you and hated to wait until September to be reunited again. P.S. if you haven't yet signed up for a Weggman's card, please do so and please tell them you are part of the Columbia Sip and Knit. I told the manager I'd invite you all to sign up. I think they have a shopping bag waiting for you as a freebie.

I have started taking possession of the fireplace/tv area, because I like the look of the chairs.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
