Charity Project- Squares for Comfort

I posted this in our Ravelry group and am doing it here now as well. Would love to get a whole box full of squares to mail off from our group.

I stumbled across this group, Squares for Comfort and know that we have a group of giving knitters and hookers!

This group is collecting 12” squares.

So instead of everyone making and mailing a square or two, I will collect and mail at one time. I have contacted the group to find out a deadline. In the meantime, if you care to knit or crochet a 12” square to be made into blankets for victims in NY.

Must be made with machine washable yarn.

For more info you can read about it on their group.

I will just collect and mail.

crocheted squares should have a single crochet border which will also make those easier to seam

There are a few patterns if you go to the forum section of the Squares for Comfort group. Knitted squares should have a garter border.
