Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

The Connecticut PTA is collecting snowflakes for Sandy Hook's new school. The details are here:

http://www.ctpta.org/...

Lion Brand has 10 crocheted snowflakes on their site, they can be found by going to their Stitch Finder and either find them listed alphabetically, or search for snowflakes. They want the flakes by Jan 12, so there is still plenty of time.

Some local schools are sending paper ones made by students. I think this would be fun to do. I made one last night, it took minutes. They can be soaked in stiffener, pinned to dry, to make them hang nicer if you wish.

Oooh. that's pretty, and knitted too!. I'm very tempted to go and buy the 100 snowflakes book that the LionBrand patterns came from.
