Hello,

First, thanks to everyone who made it out to see BROOKLYN with the group last night!   An absolutely beautiful film and easily one of the years best!  If you missed seeing it with us, it is definitely worth checking out!  Second, the date for our event to see a film many are calling the years best, ROOM, has changed!  Please see the update below:

UPDATE: Please note the date for our event to see the Toronto Film Festival winner ROOM has changed!! AMC Lennox (the only theater in town showing the film) will not be having a Tuesday evening showing, so this event will now be on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9TH! Sorry about the change! Hope you can make it!  Here are the confirmed details:

  • PLAN:  Purchase your ticket for the 7:00pm showing and meet inside the theater lobby between 6:30 and 6:45pm!  After the show, be sure to join us next door at Champp's for some post-movie conversation, food and drinks!
  • DESCRIPTION: A woman and her 5-year old son are kidnapped and held captive in a garden shed. Escaping from the captivity in which they have been held for half a decade, they struggle to adjust to the strange, terrifying and wondrous world outside their one-room prison. Room is directed by Lenny Abrahamson and stars Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay in a couple of award-worthy performances along with Joan Allen and William H. Macy.
  • BUZZ: Room is earning an astounding 95%+ positive rating from critics and audiences alike! The film was selected Grand Prize winner at the Toronto Film Festival and the performances by Brie Larson and newcomer Jacob Tremblay have been hailed among the year’s best!
  • RICHARD ROEPER REVIEW: Film critic Richard Roeper declares Room to be “one of the best movies of the decade!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u87xvnOqtw
