Paintball: Fran Bar Park Edition (Bring Your Own Paintballs)

The hunt for an even cheaper, closer, and cooler paintball venue stops here! Fran Bar Park is expected to outperform SplatterPark and the CFC Paintball Armory in every category and CSS will be part of the action late July. The new location is friendly for those who need to rent equipment and those who already have their own---and the highlight of the area is that you can still bring your own paintballs! This will save on costs and let you be less conservative with your ammo.

Fran Bar Park is located just east of Columbus off of Broad Street towards Pataskala. There are eight different fields we can play on. The junkyard has bunkers, foxholes, and mazes. The woods has bunkers and the wilderness and the 'Haunted Hoochie' has buildings, a bridge, and towers you can hide in to name just a few fields. We will also be able to choose what games to play like: slayer, capture the flag, defend the fort, bounty hunter, zombie, rabbit, etc. There will be a lot of flexibility but since there will only be one ref, we must be mindful to keep safety first. Here are the prices:

$25: Rent their equipment which includes Tippmann pro carbine gun, a mask, and an air tank.

$10: Bring your own gear, marker (gun), mask, and paintballs.

$5: Deposit for barrel plug / armband

$3: CO2 Fills

I suggest everyone buy their paintballs at the General Merchandise store beforehand (it's right across the street at 13690 Broad Street SW).

Carpooling/ride-sharing plans will be talked about more as the day approaches. RSVP today!

Yea. It was fun with you all. Next time we can do some other game than kill teams/annihilation. Maybe some capture the flag,CTF, or a retrieval game.

I hear that in October, Splatterpark is having a HUGE event with 1,000 vs 1,000 people at their location. It'll be $80 for all day and even if you get out, you only have to sit in the 'medic' section for 10 minutes before you can jump right back into the action. Like if you are interested!

Will CSS be having its own event, or will we be in with the general public as well?

    May 23, 2014

    • Eli L.

It's open to the general public so typically I try to get all the CSS members that show up to be on the same squad. Fran Bar Park is a blast!
