Popular in movies and books, he's that deep, dark, enigmatic character who arouses curiosity and creates suspense. Our "Man of Mystery," better know as Lewis K Bailey (I've included a few shots of him below), has modeled for our group on numerous occasions in the past and he's a super versatile aspiring model. Lewis was the first person I thought of for this shoot theme!
Lewis will bring with him several variations of outfits fitting of the theme. Think darker colors, shadows, and dramatic lighting. We may catch some other shots of our mystery man in less mysterious lighting and backgrounds as well. This will be a great shoot for those trying to expand their portfolio to show off some great shots of men that will appeal to a wide audience.
We will meet in the R&L Digital (side entrance of building) lobby area. I plan on being there by 12:30 so if there is anyone new to shooting with the group or shooting in the studio, I can give you an overview of what to expect and the basics you need to know for the shoot. If you are not new new to the group or have studio experience, please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for "housekeeping items" as we will promptly enter the studio and get started at 1:00 p.m. sharp so we can utilize every moment possible of our two hour studio time.
We will be working in Studio B for this shoot and will use studio strobes for all shots.
I'd also like to take a moment to inform those who are new to shooting with the group and remind our regulars that our models are to receive five retouched digital images from each photographer who shoots. This is the primary way that our models (and MUAs, stylists, etc.) are compensated for their time and talent in working with us. We typically provide these to the models via Dropbox. I’m glad to be of assistance if you don't know how to do this.
Also, please note that any updates, changes, or new information will be posted as comments here. Thus, I recommend checking comments below before coming to the shoot.
