Was this purposeful that the images be this dark. Seems like all of the photographs are.

Hi: Kathy, were you in control of the light? Did you have overhead light, light boxes, a light on his hand? I really like this pose. I would just want to see the model in a little more light. I only know a little about portrait photography from another class I took. I don't remember every being exposed to this effect. Would a client come into your studio and ask for this type of photo, or would you have it in your portfolio

Well........I don't know that a client would ask for this or not but shows the creativity that can be accomplished with lights. We just used one modeling light turned down a bit. Since Lewis is a model and I a photographer, this expands our portfolios. :D

KATHY: I like the possibility. Please don't think I am being critical of you, I looked at all of the images. At the shoots, do you get individual attention? I just want to learn as much as I can. Do you have other work? I have not had a great interest in studio photography since I don't have a studio and a web site. I have been to R&L before for a tour and shoot. Most of my photo work is at church where there is lots of light, nothing like studio work. I have shot at Bexley Mansion, inside and outside, and in my living room with a makeshift studio. It is likely that I can set up a studio at the church and practice on church members for a nominal fee. I just want to venture out! Thanks for your time in answering me back. I want to go from hobby to professional. Loyce. 449-7226. When is the next shoot at R&L?

No offense taken. I kinda assumed you are learning, as are we all. :D We usually shoot 2 at a time because there are 2 light triggers. Yes, we get individual help when needed but with a small group, we glean ideas from other photogs in group. Follow meetup..... at bottom has shoot dates. They fill fast so need to check email often for posts. :D
