I'm currently in the process of uploading the videos that Bryce took with his GoPro.
Go to YouTube.com and search for Chris Johanson, then subscribe to it for easier access in the future. There should be roughly 13 videos uploaded, when done.

Brian, hope you're feeling better brother! Get well.

I find it hard to describe this journey and the emotional journey that went with it. A great ride, great people to ride with, and a great adventure. 9/11 in DC, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Flight 93 Memorial were overwhelming. Such bravery and such sacrifice. God bless America and lets pray that she gets back on track to greatness.

By far, this was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in my lifetime. I would recommend this ride to everyone, whether you've gone before or not.
The Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA was an unexplainable experience... no words to describe the beauty, horror, and external love, that this place holds. It is not just some random field.

Just wanted to say.. Awesome ride! Arlington, and flight 93 were both very humbling. Wish my health had held up better, but I'll live. Great times, with awesome people! can't believe 2015's isn't listed yet though!

    Hello Brian
Sorry we've been out of pocket all summer. Our Shadow has been in the shop all summer riding season! We still have the time off from work just completely out of riding shape. Looking to possibly still making this trek. Is the hotel in Hagerstown MD the Comfort Inn at 920 Dual Hwy?

    September 4

    • Chris J.

      Yes Abby

    • Brian B

Thanks Chris and Yes Abby. Glad to see u r going to make it.

  • Chris J.

Once in the DC area, there are four (4) different gathering locations... Any idea which one we are going to use? Maybe have additional location(s) as a backup?

    September 2

  • Chris J.

I see the OPB is planning on riding to Shanksville, PA on 9/12... Any thoughts on this?

    August 25

    • Brian B

Chris, that was my plan as well. Some of the OPB are staying for the whole weekend and some are coming back on the 12th. Waiting to see if any of them want to swing through Hagerstown to pick us up or if we hit it on our own.

As a reminder, the meetup time for the 9-11 ride to DC has changed. Be ready to meet at 7:45 with ksu at 8am. Please remember to send me your contact information and a name and number for an "emergency contact" in the event of an emergency. Also remember to book your hotel in Hagerstown, MD if you have not done so. Looking forward to an incredible ride.

    August 10

    • Andrew S.

Sharon, I wont be on this ride due to my work but just share whatever you want and the rest keep private. Having a info page for emergency responders on your person is always prudent. Everyone - ride safe and all of us should remember and reflect on those we lost on 9-11 and the other Americans since then (military and civilian) as a result of this on-going conflict.

      1 · August 11

    • Brian B

Chris, yes, we will be riding with the OPB to Hagerstown/DC. I will also be providing each rider in our group with the call list/ emergency call list in case anyone gets separated or injured. We all need be be accountable for everyone's safety and best interest on a ride like this.

      August 11

  • Ben

I'm all booked. Non-smoking rooms at the hotel Brian mentioned, are starting to sell out. It said there was 1 left after mine (non-handicapped, king size bed)though I did go through a 3rd party site so I could get some rewards.

As far as what time we leave... yeah, Brian knows what I would pick lol, but I will go with whatever everyone else decides

    August 2

  • Brian B

Riders, I talked with Rich & Brian from the OPB and we have been invited to ride with them. We can either meet them earlier at 8am or we can stick with our meeting time at 9am and rally up with them in Belmont, OH. We would ride at the back of the pack and then peel off at Hagerstown, MD. Post your thoughts and opinions now or forever hold your peace!

    August 1

    • Chris J.

I'm OK with getting an earlier start and riding with OPB.

      August 2

  • Ken S.

Brian as we talked earlier I'm going to ride with OPB D-5 to DC.. We'll meet up in DC

    July 29

  • Chris J.

It looks like the OPB D-5 riders are leaving EARLY from Reynoldsburg on 9/10... riding to a H-D dealership in eastern Ohio, where all of the OPB riders will meet-up before heading to D.C.

According to my GPS, if we take I-70 most of the way, we will encounter a toll road at some point. Do we have a definite route? Or are we winging it?

    Pre-Ride Meeting?

    July 29

  • Brian B

Good afternoon 9-11 DC riders. I do want to compile a list of everyone who is going and some emergency contact information before the ride. Please email me your full name, your cell number, and emergency contact name, and their best number. Feel free to list any health concerns that are pertinent (ie, diabetes, etc). This list will be given to each rider to have in the event of an emergency with another rider on the trip. My private email is [masked]

So what are the plans for the day of 9/11... where and when are we to be in DC, in order to link up with the other 2 Million bikes? Any idea of who the "MAIN" group or organiser is? Maybe a website for this event?

    July 19

    • Brian B

Chris, we may link up with some of the riders from the Ohio Patriotic Bikers. We are staying in Hagarstown about an hour North of DC to avoid the congestion of DC. We will ride from Hagarstown to DC on the morning of the 11th around 9am. Probably hook up with other OPB members and enjoy the day in DC before returning to Hagarstown on the night of the 11th. Here is the organizers website... www.2mbtdc.com and FB page... www.facebook.com/2MillionBikersDC

      July 27

    • Chris J.

I was just curious if this group was riding there or back with any other groups, since there is safety in numbers.

      July 27

  • Chris J.

How many riders have a communication system? If so, what one do you recommend? Pros/cons?

    July 23

    • Brian B

I don't have one so I can't make any good suggestions.

      July 27

  • Chris J.

Any plans to maybe merge riding groups to/from the D.C. area (going separate ways for hotels)?

    July 22

  • Chris J.

Just booked a room for my son and I. I hope the weather will be good... if not, I've got rain gear!

    July 17

For anyone interested in participating in this ride, here is the hotel information for Hagerstown, MD. Our family stayed at this hotel last year and found it to be clean, comfortable, and affordable with a good hot breakfast in the morning.
