Just when you thought you could breathe and get to ride some more ........... Started my bike yesterday knowing I could ride safely ( or what I consider ) maybe around the hood or up the street to Waffle House for brkfst, neighbor gets into drawn out conversation I heard the bike sputtering turned to see it engulfed in steam with antifreeze spewing from the front. Panic steps in and to make a long and to some boring story my water pump which everyone says never goes out ( 19 years old) locks up . So here I sit waiting on not only tires which should be in by this weekend but a new water pump from our northern friends in Canada. ( frown ) hope to be up and running by second week in may hope I can meet everyone then.

Unfortunately the needs of the many out weight the wants of the few, I need tires on my bike but house and bills come first so it is with regret I must bow out of this event .

    OK, the plan...
Lets plan to meet at the Kroger store at Frantz Rd and 161 (just East of 270 & 33) at 1pm so we can ride in as a group. Kickstands up at 1:30 for the 15 minute ride to C&A Harley Davidson.
For those that are interested, we can leave C&A around 4pm and ride to the DerDutchman in Plain City for an early dinner (about 15 minutes away).

Sadly, local news stations are reporting the first fatal motorcycle accident of the riding season tonight on the west side of Columbus. A glaring example of why this ride is so important. Please keep the fallen rider and their family in your prayers.

So where are we riding to from 7610??

    April 4

    • Brian B

I am really not sure if there is a ride associated with this event. The event is the ride to receive God's blessings for a safe riding season. I will probably select a meeting point in the Dublin area so that we can ride in together as the CMR group.

Cant wait till this comes a chance to make some new friends and to see some old familiar faces. I have probably 600 on the bike so far this year been some chilly mornings and some windy afternoons but I am still riding !

Karen, welcome to the CMR group. We are glad to have you on this ride. I live in the Westerville area as well so we may find a local meeting point and ride in together.

Glad to see the list of attendees growing for this event. After to many motorcycle accidents and fatalities in 2013 this seems like a good way to start the riding season. Looking forward to seeing all of you on this ride next month.

Hey group, Abby and I rode with the group last season, I joined under my own name so I can get info directly. Also because I need help, my bike is leaking oil bad and I no longer have a mechanic I know and trust.

Nathan, I was also told that Iron Pony does some service work. Check with them to see if they may be able to help.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
