Since the beginning riders submitted their rides to the organizers who then posted it. W didn't want overlapping-competing rides. Usually we'd have a dozen to two dozen riders most of the time. For a brief period of time we did try open scheduling and we had a bit of chaos and conflicting rides which was seen as detracting from each other. Well... flash forward to today and we have over 530 members. But we don't seem to have a lot of requests for rides and when we do we don't seem to get more than a couple dozen riders at the most. So is it because we don't have enough rides? With 500 plus members we could easily have 2 or 3 rides each day and still not hurt the participation level - right? OR... Is it because our members are more "spur of the moment" and waiting to see what the weather is like? And if they can't schedule a "FLASH RIDE" then they just go alone or with a few friends? If anyone could schedule then FLASH RIDES could be anytime, anywhere. Good idea? Please vote!
