Hi, All! I just spoke with Marlene and wanted to clarify a few things about this event, which should not have been posted on here as a meetup without coordination with people sponsoring the event. This should have been simply listed a calendar item with a reference to the official RSVP site for this event, and unfortunately it is now closed. I accepted the event request two others had made wanting to support the vegan community not fully realizing the implications of doing so. According the event bright RSVP site, there are some openings reserved for people who wish to purchase the book, all funds are being donated to Local Matters, the non-profit as this was intended to be a fund raiser for them all along. There is space available if you still want to go and buy a book for charity.

This is an unusual situation that occurred due to a confluence of events of enthusiasm in supporting the vegan community, so sincere apologies for the confusion this has caused everyone. Eriyah

Isa's sister Michelle works for Local Matters, I think. That's the connection with Local Matters.

Shoot. Can we still go even if it says on the Eventbrite web site that it is sold out?

Yay! Another trip to Columbus. Hopefully soon ;)

Amy, you may know that I am Isa's mom and I live here in Columbus. She usually just comes here to visit with family but I'll do my best to work something out. I'm uncertain when her next visit will be as she is opening a restaurant in Omaha in the spring.

Ok people if there are tickets left if you buy the book, then the restaurant is not filled to capacity! Of course the author wants to sell her book and I agree this only what one expects at a book signing thing.

The book sales are going to a non profit organization and that is why a limited number of spaces were reserved for that purpose. Even for those who wish to do so, there are very few spaces left.

This stinks!... I RSVP'd on Facebook not realizing that we had to actually go to Eventbrite to sign-up. I already have the cookbook, so I'm not going to take that route... I hope that I can get in.

Oh no, it looks like there aren't any more RSVPs available... :(

My apologies for any confusion. There is actually an official RSVP site for this event and it is necessary to RSVP there. It is free and open to the public but you must RSVP at the following link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/book-signing-with-vegan-chef-and-author-isa-chandra-moskowitz-tickets-10082624401

Need Vegan feedback. Turned vegan on Easter (about 10 months) gasping for contact.

Welcome, Gene. This is a wonderful group of many diverse and interesting people. Our members won't be the only people at this event because it is open to the public but I can promise that it will be fun and entertaining.

This is so great! Isa's books were my crutch when I turned vegan and I never looked back!
(Thank you Marlene for telling me about this. :) )

Oh! Sweet! I have been a vegan for about two months. This is exciting for me. I am so looking forward to this event.
