My apologies for the last transmission of this email, the formatting was condensed by the meetup application which made it one large (possibly confusing) paragraph. I've added some additional info here and there are some new meetups now, too.

There are several events listed (Most are NOT sponsored by this group, so take particular attention to detail of who the contact information is for when determining what you want to participate in. I've had technical difficulties with my computer as has this Meetup site lately, so getting information out to timely has been a challenge, my apologies....there was an event Thursday at Whole Foods, their new Engine 2 Diet Supper Club has begun, if you are plugged into this group on Facebook, it may have been posted there and will likely be for future events.

Thur March 20th at 5:10pm and Fri March 21st at 3:00pm CARA partners with CIFF CARA will once again be a community partner with the Cleveland International Film Festival, sponsoring the documentary The Ghosts in Our Machine. The film illuminates the lives of individual animals living within and rescued from the machine of our modern world. Through the heart and photographic lens of acclaimed animal photographer Jo-Anne McArthur, we become intimately familiar with a cast on non-human animals. The film follows McArthur over the course of a year as she photographs several animal stories in parts of Canada, the U.S. and in Europe. Each story is a window into global animal industries: Food, Fashion, Entertainment and Research. All part of an epic photo project We Animals now in its 15th year and shot all over the globe, McArthur has documented the lives of animals with heart-breaking empathic vividness and professionalism. The Ghosts in Our Machine will be screening on Thurs, 3/20 at 5:10 pm and Fri, 3/21 at 3:00 pm

Thurs March 20th at 7:00pm: The Price of Compassion Free presentation with Harold Brown When: Thurs, March 20 at 7:00 pm Where: Cleveland Heights Library, 2345 Lee Rd, Cleveland Hts OH Join the Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance as we host an evening with Harold Brown (aka: Farmer Brown). When we care about others, our compassion has its costs. Our feelings of caring can cause us to experience many emotions. The question is should our compassion be used against us? We will explore the dynamics of compassion and how it works for us and how others use it against us. Born and raised on a cattle farm in Michigan, Harold Brown spent over half his life in agriculture including three years in the dairy industry. Featured in the award-winning documentary, Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home, his story is one of transformation from animal farmer to vegan animal advocate. Brown now works as an advocate for sustainable independent family farms, environmental justice, social justice, and peace through non-violence. He serves as the president of the nonprofit FarmKind. Vegan snacks will be provided at this event.

Also, in case you are interested in finding vegan eats in Columbus, I have a weekly column with the Columbus Free Press called "Socially Just Dining" which is to help empower vegan dining throughout the city and raise awareness on how vegan ethics are connected to so many foundational behaviors: http://columbusfreepress.com/columbus-freepress-sections/dining
