Enjoyed seeing everyone at Banana Leaf on Saturday! An excellent intro to vegetarian Indian cuisine for newbies, a great meal for those who are already fans, and a terrific time together
for everyone! Really enjoyed meeting several new members, seeing friends, and enjoying a wonderful afternoon! Pictures are now posted
on the meetup page. You can view them here: http://www.meetup.com/ColumbusVegetarianMeetup/photos/1060123/
Also, it looks like a great response for the upcoming Mazah Meetup in October
! I spoke to the owner at Mazah and she is okay with letting us take over the place, so the RSVP limit has been increased
to allow more folks to sign up! If the list fills up again, the best way to guarantee yourself a spot is to join the waiting list. Spots will often open up at the last minute. As a reminder, a courtesy to your fellow veggie group members, and consideration to the restaurant that is reserving space for us?.please only RSVP if you plan to be there. If your plans change, be sure to update your RSVP.
So, with that out of the way?.it should be a fantastic day!
Look forward to seeing you there! For complete info on the event or to sign-up, click here: http://www.meetup.com/ColumbusVegetarianMeetup/calendar/14715228/
-- Group member Cathy posted some information on a letter-writing campaign to encourage Bob Evans Restaurants to start using cage-free eggs for at least a portion of their eggs served (a policy already adopted by IHOP, Denny?s, Cracker Barrel, First Watch, Wendy?s, etc.). For complete info, check out her note on the Message Board (http://www.meetup.com/ColumbusVegetarianMeetup/messages/boards/)
--A few new, non-meetup events have been added to the calendar, including the annual Cat Caper 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, Sep 26th.
Any questions, comments, or info on events that may be of interest to the veggie community, just let me know.
Take care and look forward to seeing you soon,
