A couple of fun, member-hosted events have just been added to the calendar! Join us for a fantastic brunch at Café Bella on Sunday, June 1st hosted by long-time Vegetarian Group member Ruth Rehak! Later in June, be sure to join us for a special Cooking Demonstration & Wine Sampling at the Powell Village Winery hosted by The Duke of Fork (our own Chef Mark Zedella). You can find details and registration information for both of these events below. Brunch at Café Bella on Sunday, June 1st
For our early June event, we’ll get together for a delicious brunch at one of Clintonville's most unique, locally-owned restaurants – CAFÉ BELLA! Entrees will be created by the chef and specially prepared for the group! Since the food is purchased daily, the menu will be determined on the day of our event, but it will be sure to please! Possible dishes include: waffles, pancakes, crepes, seasonal salads and fresh fruit, chickpea curry, hash brown potatoes, sweet potato hash, beans and rice. Meals will be served family style to create opportunities for conversation and interaction. Cost will be $16 per person, which includes all applicable taxes, fees and gratuity. Cooking Demonstration & Sampling at Powell Village Winery on Monday, June 23rd
Join The Duke of Fork (Chef Mark Zedella) on Monday, June 23rd for a private Cooking Demonstration & Sampling at Powell Village Winery! Chef Mark will demonstrate how to prepare three delicious vegan dishes and will discuss nutrition and meal planning. Attendees will be able to sample all three dishes and enjoy two glasses of your choice of wine from the winery! A copy of the recipes will also be provided. Chef Mark’s classes have earned high praise from Vegetarian Group members as well as others in the community and have been featured at the Franklin Park Conservatory and other Columbus locations! Columbus Veg Kids: Glow Golf & zPizza on Saturday, May 17th
Join Mark Whitt and the Columbus Veg Kids Group for a fun afternoon of Glow Golf and zPizza! Meet at Glow Golf when they open at 11am for 18 holes of mini golf then get together for lunch at the new Gahanna zPizza, located about 3 miles away.
