Stand up comedy at The Bankers on Sat 20th July

- Trevor Loch headlining. Comedian from England who has supported Russell Brand and Stewart Lee on tour.
- Meet upstairs at 8pm, show starts around 9pm
- Come early as the venue will fill up quickly. If it is warm weather, dress light.
- Cost €10

Detailed Version -

Trevor Lock is probably best known for his work with Russell Brand on BBC Radio, where he built up a cult following, telling bizarre meandering stories. Now Comedy Comedy meetup members get to see the comedian in the flesh and witness his weird and wonderful brain at work, as he is performing in the Bankers on July 20th.

Lock's stand-up credentials are impressive, with him performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as supporting both Stewart Lee and Russell Brand on UK tours. In terms of both his manner and his material, Lock isn't a typical comedian; his persona is polite and earnest, with the comic appearing to only want to share his stories with his audience, rather than making them laugh. Lock often starts with what seems to be an everyday story before gradually introducing stranger elements. Never failing to be interesting as well as funny, Lock will bend your mind and, most importantly, leave an impression after you leave.

I've limited the RSVP numbers to 65 as that is close to the max capacity of the room. If you can't go, can you change your RSVP to No please as other people will want to take your place. Come early to avoid the disappointment of the room being full and not getting in. There will be other members of the public there also so we will want to get in before them. The room is being opened early for our group at 8pm. It will be very easy to find us. If you have never come to a comedy meetup before, this will be a good one to start off. The price of the ticket is €10 on the door.
My number is[masked] so you can text or ring me if you don't recognize the group when you come in and I will go and meet you. After the gig, the room upstairs will stay open for the meetup group and we will stay for a drink and a chat for around an hour or so and we may head on somewhere else if people are up for it.

Cheers.

Declan

Trevor Locks comedy was certainly unique, very clever and funny at times. Not so funny at other times but that is live comedy for you. It was good to see something different though. Patser Murray and Ger Devine were good too as was the mc but I can't remember his name. Great night overall including the drinks on dame lane after!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
