Trelissick Park (Ngaio Gorge) working bee and discovery tour

  • April 7, 2013 · 1:30 PM
  • Waikowhai Street entrance, Trellisick park,

Join the wonderful Trellisick Park restoration group in a secluded and unusual part of Wellington! The working bee will be followed by an optional wander through the reserve.

There are a variety of tasks including digging and grubbing, with the possibility of planting, if we get a bit of rain between now and then. The group are really friendly and dedicated to this very special reserve.

Bring the usual combination of good footwear, working clothes gloves (if you have them), water and something for afternoon tea.

I'll check out train times if people want to meet at the railway station.

Had a great time obliterating those pampas stumps. Shame though we didn't get a chance to go deeper into the old remnant forest. It's a real gem - Welly's best-kept secret in that regard.

OK guys we can all pile in my car as there are 5 of us. I'll pick you up in front of the wellington railway station at 1.10PM today. Sound OK? Or let me know if you are making your own way. Make sure you bring warm clothing and a coat as there may be the odd shower.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
