Are you a woman who wants to get to know the other women in her community? Do you enjoy helping others? If so, CWC is the group for you.
Community Women's Club was created to harness the power of women as we support each other and the community socially, economically, environmentally and intellectually.
Whether young, old, single, married, stay at home or at the office all day, as members we'll get to know each other the old fashioned way; by helping our neighbors.
If you need help weeding the garden, ask a member. If you need help painting a room, ask a member. If you want to meet for dinner or a movie ask a member.
If you'd rather reuse than buy a new bicycle or train set, post a 'Wish List' item on our message board. If you're the member granting the wish, remember that your gifts are a reflection of you and CWC so make sure your items are in the best possible gently used condition.
If members have items that they'd prefer to sell there are other great forums for that and we wish you the best but through CWC we give for the sake of giving.
Together we can reduce spending, while helping to take better care of our planet and you'll be amazed by the talents and kindness of the other women around you.
As members, you know that we're here to support you so you don't have to be shy about asking for help. But always be safe and smart about who you bring into your home.
When you join, let us know what your hobbies are; (i.e. tennis, golf, running) as well as ways that you're available to help. We'd like to be a social resource too.
We'll also be 'meeting up' as a group to serve the community. Meetups will begin in September 2009 and each event will benefit a non-profit that serves women and children in our community.
Our 2009 membership fee will be $48.00 and is waived for the first 100 to join our club and for select non-profits.
We will also offer need based membership sponsorships. Please email our club organizer, Sheila Jacobs with those requests.
We'll be adding member benefits as we grow but our first will be a free copy of the 2009 Entertainment Book for our first 100 new members (while supplies last) when they attend their first event.
Welcome to CWC. I look forward to 'Meetingup'!
Ladies this night will be a lot of fun. We'll celebrate the New Year, discuss events for 2010 and express our appreciation for the members and friends who have worked so hard to help us keep kids warm this winter.
We'll meet at Peddler's Village's newest restaurant, Sweet Lorraines chat and enjoy a great meal for just $35.00 per person(Free for children under 12). Read more
