Introduce Fences; Photograph Bird Presentation

Photographing fences will be introduced for next months review.  Michael Cameron will present bird photography.

Mike Cameron is both a self-taught photographer with a life-long passion for wildlife and the natural world, as well as an electrical engineer employed by Texas Instruments where he is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff.

The advent of digital photography allowed him to combine his technical training and his interest in the natural world into a challenging and artistic hobby.  For the past 11 years, Mike's photographic efforts have been focused on birds, developing the skills necessary to create compelling images of these beautiful creatures.  He enjoys finding and photographing local birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat, and sharing this information to promote conservation activities.

Mike has taught bird photography in several mini-workshops organized by the Heard Nature Photographers, given presentations on "Backyard Bird Photography" and the "Birds of Collin County" to several local organizations, and co-leads bird-walks at the Heard Museum on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

All uploaded images should be jpeg in the sRGB color space with 2000 pixels on the long edge and 50% compression.

Results from prior meetings may be found at "The Complete Photographer Results".

Since it is the first time to a meeting for me this may be a dumb question but do I bring my gear or is this informational only

    • Guy H.

Hi Melissa, The only time we bring gear is for the table tops generally once a year. All other meetings are presentations, review, and discussion.

Make it a point not to miss this meeting. Michael Cameron is very knowledgeable with Bird Photography and he can really help you if that is where your interest lies.
