Holiday Lights at Deerfield

This is our almost annual Holiday Lights at Deerfield to support our last "Holiday Lights" meetup. Last year was really terrific with a light mist creating beautiful reflections off the pavement. It was nice. Until it really started raining.

This year on December 5th, the temperature is down at least 20 degrees to (shudder) 32.  Accompanying this low temperature is a drizzling, freezing rain.  Let's hope next week is better!

Sunset on Monday, December 9th is at 5:21 PM.  We will meet at the parking lot on the SE corner of Legacy & Arch Gate.  Holiday Lights are another opportunity to practice your HDR techniques.  Pictures from out last tour required 21 EV, almost twice the 12 EV our modern cameras support.  More information will be posted.

Please post your Holiday Pictures in the "[masked] Holiday Lights" Album.

It was cold, but saw some beautiful homes. This was my first attempt at night shooting. ...posted what I thought were the best decorated - not necessarily the best shots - in the Holiday Lights Album.

The house above belongs to friends of mine. This year, they will have a moving display. Action plus low light.

Being a little late shouldn't be a problem. Deerfield is not a large area. Just drive around util you find a bunch of tripods. That will be us! Or you could dial[masked] for our current location.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
