I have to say that the meeting, only being my 1st time, was awesome. Everyone seemed to have great positive energy. I am especially glad that Randy brought the Oculus. Also, I am glad that I was able to try Google Glass out. Thanks Skip.

On May 5th, one day after national star wars day,

We are announcing our DAY OF INTEL PERCEPTUAL COMPUTING, featuring Intel evangelist Randy, the texrat, Arnold . We will also have our first giveaway!!! We are going to give away a Creative Senz3D Depth and Gesture Recognition Camera for Personal Computers, (you can also buy one by clicking the link). It's a $175 3D camera that produces depth and video streams from a single device. It is similar to a Kinect, but it uses the Intel perceptual computing sdk. If you have a device, bring it with your laptop and we can do some code sharing and live development.

Randy is going to run through some demos using a secret (not available to the public) Intel insider camera similar to the Senze3D, and go into some of the code. If anyone wants to present on the Intel perceptual computing sdk subject after Randy, please let me know and I'll add you to the show.

    Please RSVP now.
    Tell your friends.

I may or may not be able to get into the code at this meetup, but I'll definitely demo the Creative webcam for perceptual computing (soon to be rebranded as RealSense). I'll also bring an Intel Galileo developer kit; these will be available on loan in the DFW area for short-term projects.
