‘ALL THE WAY with Francine & Joel” will debut at “Don’t Tell Mama” at 343 W. 46 St., NYC on Sunday, April 27 at 2:15pm. General admission is a $10.00 cover plus two drink minimum payable in cash. This premiere performance offers an afternoon of live cabaret and jazz, featuring the unique repertoire of husband-wife musical duo, FRANCINE EVANS & JOEL ZELNIK and the “Joel Zelnik Trio” (David Cox on drums & Brian Glassman on bass). Highlights include selections from the duos popular programs such as: “The Lady Swings Sinatra”, “A Judy Garland Tribute”, “Broadway Magic”, “Broadway Musicals – A Jewish Legacy”, “Girl Singers of the 50’s”, “A Salute To The 40’s”, “LIZA!”, “A Mother’s Day Musical Bouquet”, “An Irish Song Celebration”, “Hooray for Hollywood” & “Destination: Las Vegas”. Selections also include excerpts from “My Bill Evans – a Personal Conversation”.
Francine Evans is a singer, pianist, guitarist, songwriter and show producer with a lifetime of experience in all styles of music. Francine has produced over 100 shows including Off-Off-Broadway’s ‘DESTINATION: Las Vegas”. Leonard Bernstein was a fan of her eclectic musical style as was Peter Schikele (PDQ Bach). She has performed with her big band in NYC and has appeared in cabaret clubs and folk venues on the east and west coasts. Prior to her vocal injury, she sang operatic lyric-coloratura repertoire and has appeared with orchestral soloist. She holds a M.A. from Montclair State University and has performed in New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Japan and Greece. Joel Zelnik
Jazz great Dr. Billy Taylor, was the first to give air play to Joel’s first jazz album, “MOVE”, which was reissued in Japan. A contemporary of Bill Evans, Joel has entertained 5 presidents, is a pianist/bandleader for thousands of events, and has performed at concert venues in New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Japan and Greece. NYC venues include: Windows On The World and The Rainbow Room. He has recorded four CD’s and holds a B.A. from New Jersey City University and an M.A. from Rutgers University. His latest recording, “Live At Steinway Piano Gallery” was released in Japan and the U.S. Joel was the Musical Director of “DESTINATION: Las Vegas”.
