I know I should appreciate their music (they play for free) and precious moment for people who love John, but I have to say.....:I expected more trained musicians to appear ..... because this is the memorial service for John. Please forgive me for this comment. I hope I am wrong.

I've been there almost every year since 1980.
This time, for the 1st time, I'll be bringing my kids.

Not at all. And there's no "star" performers... just 100 people or so (depending on the weather) singing beatles & John songs. Happens all day & night, with a moment of silence @ 10:50p (when he was shot), followed by singing "Imagine". My kids are only 6 & 2, so I won't be staying late.
