The Concoctory is a Denver creative space for hackers, makers, crafters, artists, budding electronics enthusiasts, the simply curious, and everyone in between. We house a retail shop full of DIY kits and goodies, and hold workshops, host groups and events. All workshops are open to the public and most are on a pay-what-you-can basis.
Have a great project idea? Maybe you just want to sketch a bit or socialize with other creatives. Drop by! If you dig us, consider becoming a member of our space.
We <3 DIY
Do-It-Yourself is not just fixing a leaky pipe or a wobbly table.
DIY is repurposing an old t-shirt, planting a vegetable garden, or learning to solder a loose wire. It’s pushing those skills further through art, and finding a creative outlet in the mundane. It’s taking back the things we own; either by taking them apart, making them better, or finding a new use the manufacturer never thought of.
It’s the tipping point that leads to questioning every facet of the world we live in. DIY is an ethic.
The Concoctory aims to inspire and nurture that ethic in the local community.
The Concoctory is open to members 24/7
Open House Hack Night is every Monday evening at 7pm
Our space is located on South Broadway near Evans, surrounded by creative local shops and tasty eats. We’re just south of downtown on the 0 RTD line, a few short blocks from the Evans light rail station, and biking distance to DU campus.
