Interested in many different DIY projects and expanding my creativity. I feel as though I have been in a rut lately and would love to get out. Looking forward to meeting other interesting people as well.
The Concoctory is a group of passionate instructors, offering classes for hackers, makers, crafters, artists, budding electronics enthusiasts, the simply curious, and everyone in between. All workshops are open to the public and most are on a pay-what-you-can basis. We teach out of Cabal Enterprises (1875 S Broadway), but are happy to visit libraries, hackerspaces and schools.
We <3 DIY
Do-It-Yourself is not just fixing a leaky pipe or a wobbly table.
DIY is repurposing an old t-shirt, planting a vegetable garden, or learning to solder a loose wire. It’s pushing those skills further through art, and finding a creative outlet in the mundane. It’s taking back the things we own; either by taking them apart, making them better, or finding a new use the manufacturer never thought of.
It’s the tipping point that leads to questioning every facet of the world we live in. DIY is an ethic.
The Concoctory aims to inspire and nurture that ethic in the local community.
