First Wednesday Dialog, Alan Lightman, "The Accidental Universe"

Professor Alan Lightman will discuss his book - The Accidental Universe: The World You Thought You Knew.

Alan has written an essay titled "The Accidental Universe: Science's Crisis of Faith" published in Harper's Magazine in January. Full text can be found on URL. Alan is a Concord resident.

You can read about his fascinating career, as a brilliant scientist and best-selling author, on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Lightman.

Then Dr Henry Vaillant will start the discussion by asking Alan some provoking questions, with a bio-medical slant. You will remember Henry from his excellent presentation at our Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln Birthday Party in February. Many know him as a practicing doctor in the area as well as having had responsible positions at Emerson Hospital.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
