People's Climate March in New York

[Note: this is not an official CAH event but our national organizations are trying to get a Humanist presence at the March.]

Join us in NYC for the largest Climate March in History. World leaders will be gathered in NYC for a landmark U.N. climate meeting — just the right moment for big public pressure. See details here:

The march starts at Columbus Circle next to Central Park, but exact times have yet to be specified. Humanists and Humanist groups from all over the world will be attending, and we are planning to march together.

Use this link to register:

There are buses being offered from Massachusetts here: But other means of travel are being discussed. The important thing is to get there, if you want to participate, and rally with other Humanists.

When: Sunday, Sept. 21,10:30am

Where: Meet outside of the Ethical Culture Society of New York

W. 64th St & Central Park West ( We previously reported  W. 66th Street - the location has changed!)

We will be meeting there with American Ethical Union groups and will then join an Interfaith Contingent at W. 58th St. & 9th Ave.

What to wear:

Our AEU friends will be wearing Blue. We can wear  Humanist shirts. Costumes and accessories encouraged; walking shoes recommended.

What to bring: Water & snacks, posters & signs, & all your friends.

We will have a limited number of posters (courtesy of AHA) for distribution but encourage everyone to bring their own homemade signs.

As part of the "Ribbon Project," you can write why climate change matters to you and hang your ribbon on the

Ribbon Tree at the end of the march

The weather forecast looks great!  Hope to see you on Sunday at 10:30 am @ ECSNY!

Don't miss your chance to be a part of history - the journey to save our planet is beginning!

Check the People's Climate March Website for last minute logistical changes.
