Description: This will be a circuit hike which means we will start and end at the same location. We will meet at the trail head in the parking area near the outhouse. We will start on the blue trail and heading generally west and north where there are nice views south and west into New York. At the northern end of the trail and park we will return on the blue trail heading south back to the parking area.

Level: Difficult. The hike will be apx 6.7 miles in length. The blue trail has difficult ascents and descents and there is one particularly treacherous descent. Scrambling will be required. We will travel at a rapid pace.
Notes: The day will likely be warm and humid, dress appropriately. Bring plenty of water (at least two bottles). Bugs are common this time of year so apply insect repellent and bring extra in your pack. You should always bring high energy snacks on longer hikes. Hiking footwear is HIGHLY recommended as there are sections that require difficult ascents and descents over loose dirt/rock and slippery terrain there may be muddy areas as well. It is not appropriate to bring pets on this hike.
Directions: From the junction of Route 7 and Route 341 in Kent, CT, go west on Route 341 about 1.7 miles. Turn right on Macedonia Brook Road and at .9 miles reach the park boundary. Continue on Macedonia Brook Road about .7 miles to a (2nd) wood bridge. Parking is here.
Parking: There is quite a bit of parking at this location.
Facilities: There is a whole in the ground with a wood enclosure above it that some would refer to as an outhouse.
