Connecticut Buddhist Meetup

  • Jun 9, 2013 · 9:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Through mutual understanding and support, we help one another to grow both as individuals and as friends through meditation and Buddhist study. Also, as Buddhism has always adopted the culture into which it spreads, we will also explore what it means to be an American Buddhist.

The "I" that is my center (heart / mushin / grounded self) enjoyed this meetup very much. The "I" that is ego was nervous. "I" the body was uncomfortable with the chair I chose. It gave me more pain to distract me from deep meditation. "I", the center, was more present than any other "I" in me.

Hello Brian, I'd like to come tomorrow morning and check out the group. My short term goal is to make room in my busy heart and mind for things more peaceful and relaxing.

Attending is a start. Being totally present is essential.
