I decided to start this group because it's tough to meet single Christians for the potential of finding a significant other in CT. If you're like me, the people you attend Church with are mostly couples or not close to your age. I felt the need for a way to pool all the Christian singles in one place so we can all meet. It's important to realize, though, the odds of meeting that special someone at one of our meetings aren't very high. I think it's a lot more likely you'll meet that person's sister, brother, best friend, mother, father, sister, daughter or someone with some other connection to them. So, it's a good idea to talk with everyone you meet at our meetings.

I'm reminded of the story of a friend of mine who moved to CT from California to marry her now husband. He had met my friend's mother at a meeting while visiting in California. Her mother was convinced this was the right man for her. It took her three years to finally decide to meet him. Their long distance relationship took off immediately. Two years later she moved to CT to be with him. They're now happily married and have children. You never know how God plans to bring you together. It might even be through your mother!

You should join if you are a Christian and want to meet other Christian singles for fun, friendship, prayer, conversation, networking, volunteering and especially to meet someone special. All denominations are welcome.
