Trails Work Day at Devil's Den Preserve

Whistle while you work on Saturday, September 22, as we take on new erosion control projects at Devil’s Den Preserve in Weston, Connecticut.

We’ll meet in the parking lot on Pent Road at 9 a.m. and work until noon.  Tasks will include digging, raking, picking up debris and somewhat heavy lifting for those whose backs and biceps are on board.  No prior experience necessary!

Wear work clothes and sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle and gardening gloves, if you have them.  We’ll have some season-appropriate goodies to snack on.

WHAT: Trails Work Day at Devil’s Den Preserve

WHEN: Saturday, September 22, 9 a.m. – noon

WHERE: 33 Pent Road, Weston, CT

WHY: Help shore up our trails before the fall rains!  Erosion control projects help keep the trails from washing out and ensure visitors can enjoy the preserve year-round.

Space is limited, so please RSVP if you’d like to join our work party!  Emphasis on “party.”  And work.  But also party.

Sign up, get out and join us next Saturday!

Wish I could make it, but I have to work at the Hunting and Fishing Appreciation Day event up in Burlington. Have fun though!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
