We are a group dedicated to promoting conscious eating! We decided not to put a food category associated with this meet-up and invite all kinds of food eaters. Weather you are a meat eater, raw, vegan or vegetarian you are invited to join us and bring a dish to the potluck.
There is a main focus on Raw Vegan Living Foods... and would prefer raw vegan dishes for the potlucks. The idea behind this is to focus on foods in their natural form, to celebrate food this way and to share recipes and inspire people to eat more plant based foods and superfoods. Weather you are a carnivore, omnivore or herbivore chances are you are not eating enough vegetables! We can all benefit from this, and trust me, you will all be inspired looking at a table full of wonderful vibrant colors smells and tastes!
We try to have guest presenters every month and sometimes we will share interesting documentaries. If you would like to be a presenter or have an idea for one of our meet up groups please send us an email.
I am also so excited to have Marlie Centawer and Mandi Gould as co-hosts of this group. A living foods chef, Marlie teaches cooking classes and demonstrations, has worked in various restaurant and café settings, and has also presented guest lectures on the health benefits of raw and vegan foods. Mandi is also a vibrant raw foodie and the owner of Health Nut nut butters, an amazing little company that makes vegan and raw nut butters and fermented nut cheeses. Marlie and Mandy have both agreed to assist in recipe support if anybody needs ideas or encouragement. We are also very proud to have Toni and Paul at our potlucks. Toni and Paul have been raw vegan for over 15 years and they provide much needed advice and inspiration for anybody interested in this lifestyle full-time.
