The mission of the Conscious Entrepreneurship Foundation (CEF) is to improve, promote, protect, and facilitate socially responsible consumerism and conscious capitalism that offers social and environmental benefits to communities on both local and global scales, in fulfillment of the Bono Declaration: "Capitalism takes more people out of poverty than aid." The invention of truly peer-to-peer distributed services—Bitcoin, being only the first—enables entrepreneurs worldwide, including the 85% of humanity who live outside OECD member states and do not have bank accounts, to trade as equals in the increasingly integrated global marketplace. CEF's members work to provide access to capital and credit markets to the vast majority who until now have been excluded. CEF's programs include: Virtual Incubator Because CEF's focus is global, we work with entrepreneurs around the world to take their ventures from idea to profitability. While we expect to establish shared workspace sites in the future, we are moving forward with our program online, using social media, document sharing, and virtual currencies. Dolphin Tanks A Dolphin Tank is an event, at which individuals or teams take the stage in front of a sympathetic audience to present startup ideas and solicit help from the audience members to turn those ideas into viable business ventures. Rather than look for elusive winner-take-all 'ten-baggers' that scale, CEF's Dolphin Tanks and Virtual Incubator focus on projects with optimal scales of one or two dozen full-time participants.
