Conscious Sexuality and Intimacy (CSI-Tucson) opens discussion in virtual and real space with a community of participants and facilitators who are respectful and embracing of the human capacity for exploring sex and intimacy without fear of judgement, expectation or control.
We remain open and encouraging to creating community with the intent to consciously celebrate sensuality and explore connections of the Sexual self and the Spiritual self with Conscious Interaction and Activity.
With that goal in mind the group will be planning and implementing:
The goal of the group is to remain open to knowledge and experience with respectful inclusion of a variety of perspectives on sexuality and intimacy.
Classes may focus on one subject at a time with corresponding experts participating but will not be limited to or promote any particular dogma.
Workshops will be experiential and more about "living in the now" and "celebrating sensuality" than about promoting particular dogma or frameworks for the study of Sexuality and Intimacy.
Our core philosophy is one of openness and non-judgement toward one another and toward personal preferences for information frameworks.
Like and unlike minded men and women are invited to open to understanding of self and others through sharing experiences and perspectives.
Personal Integrity and Respect
This group is to be NON-DENOMINATIONAL. If any questions arise as to the appropriateness of materials or topics of study, organizers invite discussion and written commentary and will respond to requests of both individuals or alliances of the group being served though either concensus or Democratic process whichever seems most applicable to the question.
The name chosen for this group is very deliberate and will be further defined as the group forms. Although study/experiences will likely focus on some of the more well known traditions no single dogma or framework will be given credence over others and no particular dogma will be promoted. We will not be studying topics as religion and although spiritual aspects of topics will be addressed no particular spiritual practice is condoned or will be promoted.
We are not per se a "self help group" but more a "self study group". People with credentials in mental health, sexual health, human sexuality, sexual surrogacy and so on, will be among speakers and presenters appearing for the groups edification but this group will take on no responsibility for outcomes of introspective study of participants.
Appropriate Behavior
Participants agree to not hold the group responsible or liable for any personal behaviors or actions chosen on the part of participants as a result of information received during group activities.
If it comes to the attention of the Organizers or Facilitators that a group participant has violated any basic tenets of respectful behavior toward a participant or facilitator or organizer, that participant may lose privileges as a group member or alternately, may be asked to cease the behavior. At the discretion of organizers and facilitators participants may be asked to leave the activity in question or may be banned from future group activity.
Security
We work to honor the safety and identities of our membership and thus this group is private and you are not expected to use your full name or identifying information on the website to assist in maintaining security.
A part of our process and policy addressing ethics requires members' commitments to stay in integrity; agreeing to not share experiences and information about other members in group. Each person's own experience may be shared and is encouraged when inviting others to join us. In discussions it is preferable to not use full identifying information regarding persons who are not present as well.
