The book of the Torah consists of the five books of Moses. The meaning of the word "Torah" is teachings or a way therefore, "The Torah" as some refer to it is the book of the teachings of Moses. Like other objective works of art the knowledge is many times hidden; it is said on the Torah that it shows you one thing while hiding two others. The meanings are infinite but a system of 7 levels exist. It is called the Orchard and it includes: "Pshat" - Literal meaning, "Remez" - a hint - deeper meaning, "Drash" - Interpertation - a psychological meaning that requires effort to extract from the text and "Sod" - secret - the esoteric meaning that has 3 different levels or veils before the most inner meaning called the back of god. Putting the 4 of them together: Pshat, Remez, Drash and Sod one gets the word P(a)RD(e)S that means Orchard. Not everyone can go into the Orchard and one can not find the way in the Orchard without a guide. The Torah is considered half of the teaching where the second half is the oral teaching delivered from a teacher (Rabi) to a student. "The generation is lessening" Like other esoteric teaching it loses gas as it gets further away from it's root but even if one man wakes up, one can save the deepest meanings, form a new school, code it in a different way and leave; this is the story of Noach’s Arc, but with the right keys every old School material opens and becomes alive again like the sand bird. Accessing the hidden knowledge of one's own tradition can create a strong emotional effect that can put one in a higher state.
