THE BRAIN THAT REWIRES ITSELF - With Australian Dr. Verlaan-Ross

"Acclaimed public speaker on a number of natural healthcare related and lifestyle topics. Dr. Verlaan-Ross has been a headline speaker at many health events. Numerous Irish TV and radio appearances discussing natural approaches to healthcare."

For decades, the prevailing dogma in neuroscience was that the adult human brain is essentially immutable, hardwired, fixed in form and function, so that by the time we reach adulthood we are pretty much stuck with what we have.

Now, in the last few years, this paradigm has been completely disproved. Scientific research has shown how not only is the brain constantly creating new neural connections, but it can also change its structure and function even in old age.

This seminar explores the brain and the self healing power that lies within all of us. Presented by Dr. Verlaan-Ross, a neurologically based Chiropractor, who will present natural, safe and effective techniques to optimise your brain function.

In particular, we will discuss the role of our brain in how we adapt to stress. Our brains job is to adapt us to our environment and what is most empowering is that we can change this.

This is called neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity or brain plasticity is the brain's ability to build new patterns, to recreate new connections and to rewire itself after injury.

The brain is able to create new patterns and the techniques shown during the workshop directly changes the brain by interrupting the current patterns so that old neural connections can be dropped off and new connections can be formed.

If you want to awaken your body's innate ability to heal itself, accelerate the ability of your brain to adapt to your environment, whether you are looking for peak performance or a greater quality of life, join us for "The Brain that Rewires Itself".

Met some great people at the evening and would certainly like to thank Max for organising these events. Last Wednesday was the first evening I could attend an event even though I had been meaning to go before. The people beside me were also at their first meet up however I wasn't that impressed with the speaker. The subject matter was very interesting and I had been looking forward to the seminar but i came away feeling a bit let down and none the wiser on Neuroplasticity. I felt that she was very vague with alot of her answers and avoided some of the questions that were asked. I also felt that the speaker was more interested in getting people to call to her practise. I go to seminars to learn something not to be sold something. I have seen Max speaking at events and I would get alot more benefit from people like Max and would happily go and listen to them again however I will not go to listen to Dr Verlaan-Ross again. Apologies for the negativity but I will attend future seminars.

I really enjoyed the workshop and the way it was delivered! Dr Verlaan was able to explain such a complex topic in a very accessible and understandable way with a nice sense of humour;-). The only thing is that I would have liked to stay there longer and get to know more people because the ones I jd a chance to talk to, were amazing. Thanks:)!!

"Everytime you have a significant new thought, your brain create a new neural pathway; when you stop thinking a though, the neural pathway disconnect.
You can literally cause the birth of neurons (Neurogenesis) by consciously directing your thoughts." DR. J. Reeves
