When you look back at your life, when did you grow the most? When you had a challenge or when you didn’t? When you meet a challenge and you don’t know how to get around it, you are forced to grow, to expand as a person, to expand as a being.
When everything is just going smoothly you are not forced to find new resources, but when a challenge comes up and forces you to go to another level, you find strengths, abilities and resources that you didn’t even know you had. They weren’t called on, they were just latent. It is as if they were just waiting for “the right challenge” to reveal themselves to you and bring your life to a new level.
Challenges therefore can be used as tools for self expression and ultimately this is what they are meant to be for you...but often we miss these precious opportunities. In fact most people, when enter a tough situation, they wish they weren’t there, they wish they were somewhere else, they wish they hadn’t done what they have done, to get there.
So wishful thinking doesn’t really bring you any insight but when you say “what is it that I can learn from this situation? What qualities need to emerge from me to arise beyond this, now you have moved out of wishful thinking and you’ve asked a very empowering question; and because the Universe will answer any question you put out there, you now become a candidate for insights...
