4 Ways to Shrink Government

This meetup will cost $5 collected at the door to defray the costs of the room rental and books to be given away.

To start the Meetup, we'll be raffling off copies of "Economics in One Lesson" by Hazlitt, & "Common Sense" by Glenn Beck"-includes the Thomas Paine version as well

We've learned that grassroots community activism works in national elections. Let's get ready to elect politicians truly interested in shrinking the size of government - there are at least 4 things we can do:

1. Memorize the US Constitution. We will be playing Constitution Quest, a board game. This will help us memorize it. Good for teams or fewer players

2. Understand how small government increases prosperity and individual choice. We'll be discussing the first chapter of "Economics in One Lesson" by Hazlitt.

3. In NYC, Practice talking to others about the above. We'll be reviewing some of the conversations in the last chapter of "Waking the Sleeping Giant"

4. Meetup with others interested in shrinking government

Everyone is welcome, whether or not you have the books or read them. If we have a bigger group we may do all the activities concurrently in different corners of the room and then switch activities to enable more participation in small groups.

Together, let's practice our mental and verbal skills and build our numbers.

I'm looking forward to this! I'll help facilitate both the game and practice conversations. The game goes quickly and is a good way to help build your constitutional knowledge.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
