Core questions: follow up from book club

Since everyone isn't on Facebook, we can use this forum to create a list of core questions as we talked about in the book club. The goal is to have a set of core questions around political beliefs that can be used to start, continue or re-direct a conversation. The inspiration is The God Test, which starts with the fundamental question "Do you belive in God?" There are follow up questions based on whether the person answers yes or no.

I'd really like input- lets see if we can develop a strong set of core questions. Then we can start trying them out. We can use the group to debrief and refine how we respond to the answers we get.

Below is the full set of questions for the God Test so you can see how it works.

If answer no: What are the main reasons you don't believe in God? Do you find any ultimate purpose or meaning in the universe? How do you account for the laws of nature? Does evil exist? What is the basis of your morality? Do you think human life is special compared to plant or animal life? How certain are you that God does not exist (1-10)? Have you ever explored what the Bible has to say about these questions?

If answer yes: How would you describe God? What does God expect of us? How are you meeting these expectations (1-10)? Do you believe in Heaven? Does everyone go? Do you believe you will go to heaven? Why or why not? Would you like to know what the Bible says about these questions?
