Tree Huggers Needed to break Guinness World Record

This is a non-hosted event since I don't know yet if I can attend, but I wanted you all to know about it. RSVPing on this Meetup site does NOT mean you are registered for the event- use the link below to register.

Tree Huggers Needed!

Last year, 936 individuals gathered at Hoyt Arboretum to set a Guinness World Record for the world's largest tree hug.

This year, we're doing it again. Bigger. Better. Huggier.

Why? Challengers have already attempted to break our tree-hugging record, and there will undoubtedly be more. And because Portland, Oregon, is the most tree-hugging place around, let's show the rest of the world how many tree huggers there really are in Portland!

Who? You and your friends and family

When? Saturday, July 12, 2014. Gates open at 2:00pm.

What? Setting a new Guinness World Record for the world's largest tree hug!

Where? Hoyt Arboretum near the intersection of SW Kingston and SW Knights Boulevards

And... Picnicking. Listening to live music. Playing games. Raffle prizes. Learning about the environment, sustainability, trees and more!

How? Pre-registration is encouraged. Please sign up here

More details will be provided on the event website and in reminder emails prior to the event!
