This Meetup group is for people who don't hike in 'mission mode'. We don't drive through to the finish line, we stop and smell the roses. This is a great group for people who for health reasons need to take it a bit slower, or for people who want to stop and ID plants, or read trail signs, listen to birdsong, take photos, declaim poetry, contemplate color. Please send me your hike suggestions, and if you have knowledge of birds, herbology, trail reading, edible plants, meditation, whatever, I would be delighted to set up a hike for you to share what you know.

One bit of advice: Always check the Meetup site the morning of the hike you've signed up for to see if there are last minute changes.
