I enjoy being in nature because it feels like reality, as distinct from the cultural metaworld that we live in when immersed in city and society. When I'm in nature I'm grateful to be alive.
I've loved nature all my life, but only recently have realized the joys of hiking slowly, especially while doing plant identification. I'm now learning tree ID and would love to learn more about insects in the Pacific NW.
