When Meetup members sign up and accept the Meetup Terms of Service, they
are agreeing to the Release found in Section 6.2:
http://www.meetup.com...
This Release basically states that members attend events at their own risk, and they release ME in MY capacity as Meetup Organizer from claims.
NOTE REGARDING SAFETY: Travel on established hiking trails, in wilderness, or in high-mountain terrain always contains risk. Hiking can be dangerous, especially during adverse or unpredictable weather conditions. There may be other unforseen events or conditions that can also create a dangerous situation, including your own limitations or health. The Organizer(s) are not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that may occur due to anyone as a result of being a member of this MeetUp. You are responsible for your own safety and health while traveling on maintained trails, backcountry or in the wilderness. The trails and activities described in this book may not be safe for you. Always check local conditions and know your health and personal limitations. Practice due diligence when traveling alone or with others and follow all rules and regulations for the trails as described and posted by local, state, county or federal agencies.
