Content Strategy New England Message Board › Part time content strategist needed in Rhode Island - higher ed
Hi Content Strategists,
I'm seeking a part-time web content strategist to work with academic and administrative departments in a higher education environment. We're looking for someone who has a good grasp of human-computer interaction, information architecture, web navigation, and user experience, who can also write well. Marketing writing experience is a plus. Very little visual design (we've got templates), very little coding (although some HTML/CSS is helpful). The ability to work in WordPress is important (not as an administrator, mostly as an author/editor).
You should be really comfortable talking to academic staff and faculty about their programs, goals, and needs, and be able to collaborate to come up with high-quality IA prototype/wireframe content recommendations (paper or digital), present them authoritatively, and then collaborate some more. At least a fundamental understanding of branding, higher education, focus groups, and web analytics is a plus.
For the most part, you can set your hours, about 15 hours a week, on campus (between 8:30 and 4:30). This is *not* a formal state position -- no benefits. Hourly rate is competitive. The position is currently being offered for six months. If you're interested, please get in touch. Just drop me an email -- no resume/cover letter required at this stage. All contact is confidential. Thanks!
