Do you believe web sites should be about something? Not just well-coded and well-designed, but filled with information that's interesting, fun, provocative, substantial ... and most of all, well-written and well-produced?
Are you in the Seattle area?
Then you belong here. (Especially if you're a content strategist, want to be a content strategist, want to work with content strategists, or are curious about the idea of content strategy.)
Seattle has lots and lots of web professionals, and a small community of content strategists. Let's make the community bigger.
(What's content strategy? Good question. Brain Traffic's Kristina Halvorson defines content strategy as "the practice of planning for the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable content." And she knows what she's talking about. She wrote a book with "content strategy" *in the title.* For more info, check out "The Discipline of Content Strategy" (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/thedisciplineofcontent...) and "Content-tious Strategy" (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/contenttiousstrategy/) on A List Apart.
